Babar Ahmad and others v UK

A short piece (NOT by me) on the decision in the Nation here: http://www.thenation.com/article/170191/human-rights-court-gives-torture-green-light

The piece refers to the September 24, 2012 decision by the European Court of Human Rights refusing the appeal in Babar Ahmad and others v UK.  This refusal opens the door for the extradition of  five men wanted by the United States on terrorism charges to the torture of long term solitary confinement in US prisons.  The Court bowed to US pressure and misleading information and ignored the work of human rights advocates and researchers who speak and write about the expansion of solitary confinement in US prisons and the rights abuses faced by Muslims accused or convicted of terrorism-related charges post-9/11 in the US federal system.
